how is that supposed to work? Attackers are now attacking Filipinos who don't looked like a part east asian.

We are paying the price for being affiliated with them, don't you understand? We are affiliated with communism which has nothing to do with us.
Just think of it this way, If Indians are in the same bracket as Muslims then Indians would have been targeted after 9/11. As you can see, Indians were smart enough to separate themselves from the Muslims.

Crime rates against Indians went down after more public exposure in the mainstream. For example, Indians like Kamala Harris, Nikki Balley gave most Americans an easier time identifying Muslims from Indians.

Thais are similar to us but Vietnamese is a little bit tricky. But overall, I would still consider Vietnamese closer to us racially than their Chinese neighbors.

One day, we will see a mass shooter who shot Filipinos for being mistaken as Chinese. that's why it's important for us to represent ourselves.

The best way to stop hate crimes is to get active in local affairs. The resentment against the Chinese is mainly linked to living in a parallel society.
