I know you feel alienated as a Chinese in Thailand/Southeast Asia. When China economy grows and more job opportunity arises for oversea Chinese. would oversea Chinese return back to China for a happier life.

You can probably open a Thai restaurant in china or something.

The thing is I can barely speak Chinese. Most Chinese in Thailand have been here for generations and they cannot speak Chinese whether Mandarin or their native dialect at all. Most of us are completely assimilated, no longer have Chinese names. The Chinese here only speak Thai among themselves, have Thai names, have Theravada Buddhism as the main religion and most don't have any relatives in China anymore. Most of the Chinese culture here have become Thai.

So to go back I must speak Chinese fluently and have close relatives there.

But I also have US passport (I am dual citizen), so I'm probably going to go somewhere in the West after I leave Thailand in the future.

how the hell did you get a U.S passport? 😳 . So you're a Chinese-Thai living in Africa with a U.S passport?

that

that is only possible if one of your parents are American.

I was borned in the States when my parents were doing their masters and later doctorate degree. So that's how I get it. I'm the only one in my family who have it.

I don't live in Africa (Tanzania) anymore, that was almost three years ago. Now I'm back in Thailand, although in the future I would like to go back to US or somewhere else in the West, other places in Asia or even Africa.

have you been to the US before? do you speak English because most Chinese-Thai I know don't? which part of the USA interest you? san Francisco, new york, Los Angeles, Chicago?

By the way, President Trump has removed the birthright citizenship, the same one that you have. but he is not the president anymore after 2021 Jan. You can still come to the U.S.A. but the borders & laws are becoming stricter. IF Trump were the president for 4 more years. I am sure trump would have pushed forward in stripping U.S citizenship for certain types of people like born outside U.S territory or babies born in the U.S but have never returned to the U.S  soil.

Yes many times. Traveling with my family and also for school. I did my undergrad four years in the States. I never lived there besides that though. The rest of life is in SE Asia, Middle East (Oman) and that four months in Africa.

LOL do you think I'm writing to you using Google Translate? How do you know most Chinese-Thai don't speak English?

Well I'm interested in the West Coast and New York, Texas , Florida or Hawaii although I want to be in a place that has snow but not too dry in winter (I hate static shocks- you can get them easily in dry weather during winter).

Do I still have my citizenship or do I already lose it? It would be insane if I have to "immigrate" to the US again despite being a citizen. Maybe I will just go to Canada, Australia, New Zealand or somewhere like Europe, any other place in Asia or even Africa and South America instead lol.

I think you can if you speak Mandarin or have some connections there.

I heard a lot of Africans from Africa are moving to China and living there, setting up businesses. Many even intermarried with the Chinese and have family there.

But would Latinos feel culturally incompatible with the Chinese?

Chinese culture is too foreign for us, but I am sure there are latinos who want to do business in China. But I don't see any doors open let business in.

China is for the Chinese. Not even other mongoloids are not allowed to move to China or even in any sino inner-circle. You can never be Chinese but only you can be a skilled asset or a tool to the Chinese.

well, if you put it that way, if some people cannot help themselves but to spout random hostility for no reason, it would certainly not help with ethnic unity if we included those people.

There are a Few thousand Filipinos in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and recently movement in mainland China. They are just visitors or Temporary workers. Filipinos have a collective duty to bring them back home when the economy picks up in 10-15 years.

Zero Dominicans in China but there is a few Mexicans, Brazilians, Colombians, Chilean living in China. The numbers are very low next to almost non-existent.

I am very concerned about the growing Chinese population in Australia & New Zealand, I would love it if they all return back to China.
