Butterfly and Sword (1993) is one of the most underrated Chinese martial arts films (wuxia films) of all time.  I happen to think it's one of the best if not the best.  It included an all-star cast including Michelle Yeoh (of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), Donnie Yen (of Star Wars Rogue One), and Tony Leung Chui-wai (of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) among others.  Enough with the name dropping.  The movie is beautifully done, full of aesthetically pleasing martial art sequences, fantasy elements, and a great story.  The movie has a strong underground following, but it deserves far more praise and attention.  Just watch the first few minutes of the movie, and hopefully you can agree.  Chris Babida is one of the music composers, and he's from the Philippines.
