Philippine politicians are so corrupt. They are selling the Philippines country to China. I even heard of the Chinese financial backing of Bong Bong Marcos. I assure you the majority of local Filipinos DO NOT want millions of Chinese coming in.

@j-r-c the problem lies with the Chinese money being thrown around the Philippine politicians. if you cut the Chinese money outflow the problem goes away.

@james Eliminating the poverty rate in southeast Asia is the number one priority. unless there is a better option, then politicians have to play this game.

Chink "tourists" aka Chink criminals who go to nations like Cambodia to do illegal stuffs.
Mixed in with these criminals are Chink spies who are basically thieves but work directly for the CCP.
Not many Chinks think of Pinoyland as their travel destination. Anglosphere nations, Japan are the top destinations.

@dadadas Chinese overseas is basically used as an economic & political outpost by the CCP. overall white people have woken up to these pests and soon will systemically remove them.

As a Filipino, I could chalk it up to the reason being that the average citizen usually has a very poor understanding of politics, history, and economics in general. This is primarily the case due to poor educational standards in the country. Education informs people's decisions from the bottom all the way to the top and decisions made with regards to the relationship between China and the Philippines is no exceptio
I'm a Filipino, as much as I don't want to be part of this, I am. Sadly, the majority of people here do not understand international politics and economics. Those who do not understand are the people who defend the government's actions and decisions. That's why many of us who have their chances are trying to leave the country.

US & NATO will put extreme pressure on ASEAN to cut ties with China. Once, the trade deal is finalized ( IPEF which can take 5 years to materialize) the elites and leaders in ASEAN countries will adopt a policy similar to what the Americans are doing now with the Chinese.
