How Ancient Builders Made Stone Walls Without Cement
Using dry stone construction, ancient builders stacked perfectly shaped rocks with no mortar. Strength comes from weight, balance, and precision — creating structures that survive earthquakes and last for centuries.
It's really good models and video. I did spent a lot of time and energy. Please share, thanks. Leonardo da Vinci perpetual motion machine and flying machine are included. He is credited with the inventions of the parachute, helicopter and tank, aerial screw, experimental wing, self-supported bridge, double decked bridge, wall defense, anemometer, ball bearing, flywheel, automatic hammer, flying machine, etc. Please watch HD remake of da Vinci inventions with more workable museum quality models. All models Leonardo da Vinci inventions are made and filmed by the author of this channel. Unlocking Leonardo's Engineering: Investigating and Testing da Vinci Inventions
Deep in the Mountains, surrounded by Ancient History, I found a Gigantic shape upon the surface of the Earth. What I found when I hiked here... was unexpected, and astounding.
In a small region of the Andes, a single cloud has remained in the same exact spot for over 70 years. Scientists have measured it. Locals fear it. Some believe it protects the mountains… and others say it's waiting for something. Here’s the bizarre truth about the cloud that doesn’t move.
In the Andes Mountains, clouds that appear stationary are actually in constant motion; they only seem still because they are being continuously formed and dissolved in the same physical space.
The Illusion of Stationarity
These are primarily lenticular clouds (Latin for "lens-shaped"), also known as "mountain wave" or "standing" clouds. The illusion that they do not move is caused by a cycle of condensation and evaporation:
Formation (Windward Side): As strong winds hit the Andes, the air is forced upward. As it rises, it cools, and moisture condenses into cloud droplets at the crest of the "wave" created by the mountain.
Dissipation (Leeward Side): After passing the peak, the air descends and warms up again, causing the cloud droplets to evaporate back into invisible vapor.
Result: Because the point of condensation and the point of evaporation remain fixed relative to the mountain, the cloud appears to hover "stock-still" even while winds are racing through it.
Common Characteristics in the Andes
UFO Appearance: Due to their smooth, saucer-like shape and stationary position, they are frequently mistaken for UFOs.
Stacked "Pancakes": In regions like Patagonia, these clouds often appear in multiple stacked layers, indicating strong wave motions in the atmosphere.
Dangerous Turbulence: While they look calm, they are a sign of intense vertical air movements and "rotors" (turbulent air pockets) that pilots of powered aircraft are trained to avoid.
Locations: They are exceptionally common near high peaks such as Aconcagua and in the southern Andes near Torres del Paine and El Chaltén.
