It's simply an indigenous trait maybe linked to some kind of convergent evolution or related to Upper paleolithic populations of North Africa.
You're welcome and they are simply people from the maghreb even though this trait tend to be found mostly among berber speakers (at least based on my experience)

Well perhaps that could be but many of the Asian looking Berbers do not seem to look that similar to Palaelolithic survivors anyway, for example when Coon spoke about Palaeolithic survivals in N Africa they generally did approximate the look those in Europe had. One could even argue that some Siberian groups like the Komi or Nenets are more like extreme versions of Paleolithic survivors than some of these Berbers who seem to have their own distinct look.
