Police in New York arrested a 44-year-old man in a coronavirus-related hate crime against an Asian man and his 10-year-old son, the NYPD announced on its Facebook page.
The attack happened Thursday at the intersection of 70 Avenue and Queens Boulevard.
“The guy walked past us. That triggered him. He was screaming at us and said, ‘Where the f–k is your mask?!’” the victim, who asked not to be identified, told the New York Post.
“You f–king Chinese,” police sources told the newspaper the man also said.
Raoul Ramos is accused of following the 10 year old and his father and then hitting the dad in the back of the head.
No details of the arrest were released.
