Maybe korea is more accepting of non-east asians since she is considered beautiful there

Considered attractive enough to get commercial gigs

Koreans will accept her because she looks mostly Korean but will look down on her parents' union once they find out one is Filipino.

Koreans also do this with Southeast asians that initially look Chinese, Japanese, or Korean just with looks; they will treat them differently once they find out they are from an ASEAN country. These "Chinito" southeast asians will still be treated better than pure Southeast asian or Negrito looking people though, Koreans are generally vain and xenophobic.
