This look is common in central Vietnam. I don’t know the stats, just based on real life experience. Many of these people I suspect have Cham ancestry. They’ve taken on Vietnamese names so you wouldn’t know unless they tell you. You just think they look slightly different. The facial bone structure is fairly common in vietnam. Protruding cheekbones are common in vietnam. Sometimes the face is long, more common the face is short. However other features such as round eyes, the lips and more prominent features make him look a bit different. Most vietnamese men even when the face shape is similar don’t have the more prominent features.
