@dyno

Spoiler

Probably but keep in mind pure Southern East Asians also score some South Asian as well which can be confusing to detect the actual Indian ancestry. That's because some of the South Asian component could actual Negrito admixture. Also the South Asian component contains both Caucasoid (Iranian_Neolithic/BMAC+Steppe; the latter which is closest to modern day Northern Europeans) and AASI (Ancient Ancestral South Indian) which is the native Australoid-like DNA of Indians.

Anyway this is the Vahaduo run of OP's DNA using the another calculator (PuntDNAL K13):

Distance: 177.7808% / 1.77780820
30.4 Tamil_Nadu_Brahmin
24.2 Murut
14.0 Bantu_NE
11.6 Dai
9.8 Saudi
5.0 AASI
3.2 Papuan
1.8 Karitiana

Looks like you were correct. He is indeed around 30% Indian (using Tamil Nadu Brahmin as the proxy). Decide to use Murut, an Austronesian tribe from Borneo and Dai, Tai-Kadai ethnic from Yunnan to represent Malay because the Malayan sample contains minor South Asian and Caucasoid admixture, which could inflate the amount of Mongoloid blood in the OP.

He also has around 14% Black (Bantu_NE/Northeast Bantu) blood, 9% Arab, 2% AASI (could be Negrito, something AASI-like or actual AASI from Indian admixture), almost 2% Native and 2% Papuan.

Replacing Brahmin Tamil Nadu with Makrani, an ethnic group from Western Pakistan and Southeastern Iran which represent the Iran_N/BMAC admixture and Lithuanian which represent the Steppe admixture of South Asians and you can see the total amount of Caucasoid blood that he has. What's interesting is when you remove the Tamil Nadu Brahmi the AASI increase dramatically. Also the amount of Black reduce from 14 to 13% but that's because the Makrani have minor Sub Saharan African and some AASI, so the Afro and AASI genes could got slightly absorbed by the former component. His Arab admix also got eaten by the Makrani component which also has substantial Middle Eastern ancestry.

Distance: 152.7607% / 1.52760728
24.4 Murut
23.2 Makrani
14.4 AASI
13.2 Bantu_NE
12.2 Dai
6.0 Saudi
3.4 Papuan
1.6 Karitiana
1.6 Lithuanian

So he is 37% Mongoloid (Murut+Dai), 31% Caucasoid (Makrani+Lithuanian+Saudi) and 13-14% Negroid , 14% Ancient Ancestral South Indian (some of which is probably Negrito), 2% Papuan and 2% Native American.

However if you want to see how much actual Malay blood he has, then I replace Murut and Dai with Malayan:

Distance: 156.3738% / 1.56373783
40.6 Malayan
24.0 Makrani
13.2 Bantu_NE
11.4 AASI
5.0 Saudi
1.8 Karitiana
1.8 Papuan
1.4 Lithuanian
0.8 Dai

And replace Makrani+Lithuanian with Tamil Nadu again to see if his Indian is still the same or not:

Distance: 173.8067% / 1.73806732

39.8 Malayan
31.0 Tamil_Nadu_Brahmin
14.2 Bantu_NE
9.0 Saudi
2.0 ASI
1.8 Karitiana
1.8 Papuan
0.4 Dai

Yup still around 31% Indian. Looks like he is around 40% Malay.

@zexsy

Spoiler

You are right, he is indeed triracial or even more like quadriracial. He is a mix between SE Asian+Indian+African and even some Arab.

Strangely he reminds me of some Nigerian Igbos who are light skin ((yellowish rather than dark brown or black) but still didn't look totally African facial wise. Its peculiar because he is only 14% Black by his DNA.

Yes, I have read your reply, and thanks for proving me right.

however, I am surprised that he had Saudi in his DNA.
