Iran is just stalling for time. Iran, I believe is making deals with China & Russia. U.S leaders are too naive about Iran's intentions to stop pursuing nuclear weapons.

Now from the U.S side. the U.S has no interest starting another war in the middle east. so making a deal with Iran at least is the best option on the table.

@zexsypmp23 the nuclear with Iran is antithesis of peace in the Mid East. Iran made it clear they want to destroy Israel and America. Cloaking it under the guise of controlled nuclear energy is a coward plan. They easily go behind our back and they just won’t show it to you.

it's more complicated because Iran has Russian & Chinese backing.
