  • Woman was on the uptown R train platform in Times Square when a man snatched her purse and shoved her onto tracks at 1.45pm Friday
  • Good Samaritans rescued the woman, who was left bloodied after suffering injuries to her head and neck
  • Witnesses detained the suspect until police arrived and arrested him
  • Assailant was described as a man in his 40s and homeless 
  • Latest data show that felony assaults went up 8.3 per cent compared to the same time last year
  • Robberies have gone up 2.1 per cent, and transit crime spiked nearly 14 per cent during the same time period

An Asian woman was waiting for a subway in Times Square Friday afternoon when police say a homeless man snatched her purse and shoved her onto the tracks.

The violent attack took place just before 1:45pm on the uptown R subway platform.

This is now become the norm in the United States. The problem here is the other asians have to pay the price for sinophobia.
