Asian Man hit with a Hammer

An Asian man was hit in the head with a hammer on a Manhattan subway platform Tuesday night, cops said.

The victim was standing on the No. 2 train platform at 14th St. and Seventh Ave. about 9:15 p.m. when he got into an argument with another man after they had “incidental contact” with each other, an NYPD spokesman said.

The assailant hit the victim in the head with a hammer and fled, cops said.

NY leaders speak out about attack on Asian man

It was not immediately known if the attack was motivated by anti-Asian bias, but the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force has been notified of the assault, the NYPD spokesman said.

Police describe the suspect as male, about 6-feet-2, wearing a wig, purple lipstick, blue jeans, red shoes and a red jacket, and carrying a tote bag.

The victim, who was conscious and alert after the attack, went to Bellevue Hospital and was in stable condition, police sources said.

Chinese Man stabbed more than 10 times in Chinatown attack; suspect arrested

LOCAL NEWS

A man was stabbed more than 10 times during a random attack in Chinatown Wednesday afternoon, and another man has been arrested, police said.

The incident occurred near the intersection of Alpine Street and Broadway.

William Yu, 46, was walking alone in downtown Los Angeles and Chinatown, as he often does, when he was approached by a man, the victim’s brother told KTLA.

William Yu tried to get out of the man’s way, but the assailant grabbed him and struck him. David Yu said his brother thought he was being punched, but he was actually being stabbed repeatedly in the face and neck. The victim also suffered slashes to his groin and stomach area.

A struggle continued until Los Angeles Police Department officers arrived at the scene and the suspect was taken into custody.

He was identified as 50-year-old Timmothy Meirs and faces a mayhem charge, police said. His bail was set at $100,000.

Authorities are not investigating the incident as a hate crime, but rather a random attack.

David Yu set up a GoFundMe page for his brother as he recovers from his injuries. Photos shared to the fundraising page show the victim with several bloodied lacerations that appeared to be stitched up

Horrible. In broad day light. California large cities have seen tremendous influx of homeless camps. They took over the streets and downtown where the old China town is. In San Francisco they took over a stretch of several blocks spreading their belongings over the side walk. So bad normal citizens are afraid to walk on the streets. Majorities of these people either have a drug problems and/or mental illness.

these attacks may not be race related. If you look up these kinds of crime they usually involve a homeless guy, any race attacking random people of any race. Just happened China town is in a bad neighborhood that has gotten a lot worse because of the homeless population.
