This couple initially only had mild symptoms and was self-isolating at home, but they suddenly became ill enough to be admitted to the hospital. The ratio of people who need to be admitted to the hospital is definitely high, seems like 50-60%.

They said it can possibly survive in the air and item for a few hours, it is almost as contagious as the flu, but the death rate is much higher, 2-5%, maybe more. We will see how the people in other countries who got infected do. 3 out of 5 people in California were hospitalized when infected.
