Even Marxist communist WHO now tell people to limit sexual partners to prevent monkey pox outbreaks. That’s the best they could do without enraging male to male Sexers.

People should reduce their number of sexual partners to help fight the spread of monkeypox, the World Health Organization has urged. 

Dr Hans Kluge, the head of WHO's European division, has warned the current outbreak of the tropical disease 'may not be containable'.

He warned Europe had become the new epicentre of the virus, with the outbreak linked to sexual transmission at raves and festivals on the continent.

Dr Kluge insisted the virus 'will not require the same extensive population measures' as Covid but said 'significant and urgent' action was needed to prevent more cases.

@meleona the complete paragraph from the CDC below. In the western world, it got introduced via two gay sex rave parties in Spain saunas and in Belgium. That’s why in the western world the source at this point is in male to male sex.

now, if you talk about Africa where they also eat bush meat or when the disease is so wide spread that women get it from men then you can say the source  is different.

Similar to HIV, how it get introduced in the west was from male to male sex. Then after that it got into the blood supply then it became a different population: hemophiliacs, IV Drug, then heterosexual.

In the western world since we don’t eat bush meat and sexual contacts between men is the most like source then it is correct to say it’s a disease is found in male to male sex, as the CDC stated.

A good reason why male male sex is most vulnerable is the common practice of anal sex which is the easiest portal  than other modes of transmission. You can do more reading into HIV transmission to understand why.

 

Monkeypox was first identified in 1958 among laboratory monkeys in Denmark. Animal-to-human movement can occur via a bite, scratch, direct contact with bodily fluids or lesion materials, or even the preparation of bushmeat. Either way, the introduction of monkeypox would have been introduced to society by eating infected bushmeat.
