Bruno Mars.  Hopefully in the next few decades more Filipino artists will reach the global mainstream

Bruno Mars is a great artists, and one of the most successful of all time.  He can sing, dance, and perform (as in acting).  Not too many people can do all three.

I need to back track a little bit.  America did produce animation other than comedy such as He-Man and the Masters of the Univers, She-Ra, GI-Joe, Thundarr the Barbarian, and many more.

Dungeons & Dragons was produced, written, and directed by Americans and animated by Toei Animation.

The concept of large robots, mecha, and large monsters is fascinating.  Japanese anime and live-action may have used them a lot, but they are not exclusive to them.

King Kong, in his 1933 live-action film of the same name:  King Kong (1933) - Beauty Killed the Beast Scene (10/10) | Movieclips - YouTube

Chernabog, the winged monster demon in the 1940 Disney animation fim Fantasia Night on Bald Mountain:  Fantasia (1940) Night on Bald Mountain (1/2) - YouTube

The large bird like creature in The Giant Claw (1957):  The Giant Claw (1957) ORIGINAL TRAILER [HD 1080p] - YouTube

Attack of the 50 ft Woman (1958):  All The 50-Foot Woman Scenes From "Attack Of The 50-Foot Woman" (1958) - YouTube

The giant bird called the Roc (depicted with two-heads) and the Cyclops in the live-action film The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (1958):  The 7th Voyage of Sinbad (5) - YouTube

The dinosaur or dinosaur-like creatures in the live-action film The Lost World (1960):  The Lost World (1960) Trailer - YouTube

The dinosaurs of the live-action film One Million Years BC: One Million Years BC / Original Theatrical Trailer (1966) - YouTube

The Doomsday Machine, a large space robot or monster, in the 1966-1968 live-action t.v. series Star Trek:  Doomsday Machine (part 3 of 7) Star Trek TOS 1966-1968 #ScienceFiction #StarTrek #Spock - YouTube

The dinosaurs of the 1974-1976 live-action t.v. series Land of the Lost:  Land of the Lost Opening Credits and Theme Song - YouTube

The dragon Smaug in J.R.R. Tolkien's novel "Hobbit" and its 1977 animated film adaptation of the same name:  The Hobbit | A chat with a Dragon | 1977 classic cartoon - YouTube

The AT-AT and AT-ST mechs in the 1980 live-action film The Empire Strikes Back:  The Empire Strikes Back: The Battle of Hoth - YouTube

The Kraken, in the 1981 live-action film Clash of the Titans:  Perseus vs The Kraken (1981) - YouTube

The Rancor, in the 1983 live-action film Return of the Jedi:  The Rancor in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi (1983) - YouTube

The large monster called the Beast in the 1983 live-action film Krull:  Krull - Boomerang in suspended animation - YouTube

Tiamat, the 5 headed dragon, in the Dungeons & Dragons animated t.v. series which ran between 1983 to 1985:  Dungeons and Dragons Opening Credits and Theme Song - YouTube

The Shai Hulud, giant sandworms, of the 1984 live-action film Dune: Dune - Conquering Shai Hulud [HD] - YouTube

There are many more film and animation examples especially as you go further later in time.

But outside of film and animation, there are several examples, such as the Celestials of Marvel Comics.  The Celestials make their publication debut in 1976.  The Celestials are perhaps the largest robots in history.  They are the size of small moons.  Another Marvel giant debuting in 1966 is Galactus.  There are many many more examples of course.

@sapphiresky

Her career got started, in a big way of course, but we're talking about all time great singers.  If she stays the course, she hopefully become one of them.
