@rambo. Noted, happens to me often as well.

 

Fyi, Alam is often used with objects or abstract concepts, kilala for people.

yep yep.

 

However:

 

Kilala mo ba yan tao? (ba+'yang  are 2 separate words - 'yang is a conjugated form of iyang)
 
Kilala mo ba ito+ng bata? (we always use a marker before a noun or to put focus on what we want to emphasize, or of its relationship)
 
However we also conjugate verbs so 2 words:
ito & ng = becomes one itong.  We don't use an exclamation mark on this though, only for recent (in time) conjugated verbs.  These became conjugated in the distant past so it's now recognized as 1 word instead of 2.

@lilshawty204  It's easier to learn by being around people who speak it, media, & knowing the grammatical rules.

 

But most of us are not familiar with the grammatical rules, we just know it instinctively because we learned it at a very young age & is often the first language.

 

I suck at formal grammar tbh.  I just know the rules by instinct really.
