12 feet sounds safe enough for me but the experts are saying that the virus could travel up to 20 feet away. I'm not so sure if anyone is going to practice extreme social distancing after being in lockdown for nearly 3 months.

But in recent research by the scientists of the University of California and Stanford University, US, it was found that six feet distance may not be enough as the virus can travel as far as 20 feet. The research has not been published yet and is under peer review.

20 feet is way too much. If this was true then the government would have enforce it.

They haven't yet and I'm somewhat doubtful considering that people are fed up staying at home and social distancing in public.

I went to Walgreens and people needed to stay 6 FT apart and the line was almost a block long. if it was 20 feet apart it would be 3 block long waiting line.

I usually see this in grocery stores.  The customers waited for so long only to find out that the food and beverage item they were looking for is sold out.
