Why is Vietnam COVID-19 cases so low compared to other major SE Asian countries?

Vietnamese corona cases will go up, it's just a matter of time. 

the question how come the Vietnamese corona -virus broke out later than most countries in the region. 

I'm guessing Vietnam doesn't have tourist from Wuhan coming in ( when it broke out in December-January). 

Vietnam probably got it from Thailand or something. 

the solution is just banned everyone & isolate yourself until the virus dies down. 

My girlfriend is Vietnamese. She explained to me that Vietnam has a mandatory mask law or something like that. The numbers are low because there isn't enough testing kit to confirm the covid19 cases.

Strict quarantine measures in blocking out China. Korea, Japan and Italy are representative cases where they didn't implement quarantine on blocking out China. Other countries that did implement strict quarantine measures in blocking out China are pretty clean, like Vietnam, Taiwan and Mongolia.
