Ancient Astronomers? The Pawnee Tribe
Most don't commonly associate the Native American groups of the Western USA to be anything more than a group of people heavily invested in Spirituality and supernatural belief. But within these some what misconceptions, sits an overwhelming amount of knowledge of astronomy, especially in the case of the Pawnee- a Nebraskan tribe. Although some decisions by the Pawnee were for spiritual reasons (human sacrifice), the Pawnee still had a vast untapped knowledge of the Stars. All of this knowledge gained with only use of primitive technology! In this documentary, I uncover some of the less known facts regarding the most advanced Native American society in regards to astronomy... The Pawnee.
