An explosion occurred at Jan 10th, 2pm in a gold mine in Shandong province. 22 workers were trapped underground.
1/11 20:05 the company failed to extract the workers and reported to the local emergency bureau
1/11 20:48 the city government arrived on the scene and took over rescue
1/16 Shandong province found the top 2 secretaries in the city government carried responsibility for the 30 hour delay in emergency response, and fired them.
1/17 22:18 after being trapped for seven days without knowing if anyone was alive, they opened a communications tunnel and found 12 workers were alive. they passed back notes and received lighting, phone, nutrition drink, medicine, and onsite 24 hour doctors. they were surviving on mud water and 3 are wounded. the location of the 10 others have not been found yet.
1/18 05:08, a second communication tunnel was opened
1/19 morning, central government sent in more experts

the 22 workers are split in two different sections, they're 586meters and 637meters below ground. There are eight drills right now trying to reach them.
