it's part of the Confucius society to view the leaders of the country as head of the family that will effect every ones daily lives.
Christian view of worship is very different from the Chinese confucious.
I would say it's more similar to emperor status and not a God status

The God of Chinese is money and so is Xi jinping. When money dictates the mortal values of the mind then the money has become the God.

Emperor Yes, God no.
majority of the mainland Chinese are Godless with only a few million Christians ( 5% of the total population I think)
most Chinese are clueless to what a God is. so I don't think they even know how to claim to be higher than God almighty.
They just want Christianity remove in their land because it's a threat to their authoritarian/confucious society.
