Yes, time travelling is completely possible however, you have to obey the laws of physics though otherwise you'll just make another branch of the time tree.

I had mystical experience when I was young, I dreamt that I was someplace foreign to me, some kind of monastery and I was aglow and walking past the corridor and making weird sounds in the middle while walking past it. Then when I joined the monastery I woke up in the middle of night and I was startled by some weird noises and bright light coming outside my dormitory room in the monastery. I brushed it off. It took me months later to piece that in the past, i just travelled to the future in my dream and in the future, I remembered the dream I had in the past. I was mind fucked. 

And all of this has been proven recently in science like in Quantum Physics wherein Scientists where able to make two molecules present in two locations at the same time through quantum entanglement.  

However, when it comes to travelling to the past or present or vice versa you have to conform to some laws of physics like the laws in Logic or Math, otherwise if you travel to the past and change something there you just change other people's path but you still retain your own past since your memories of your past and future are pretty much linear.
