Bai Sri Su Khwan
The Bai Sri Su Khawn is traditional practiced amongst the people of the North(Lanna), Northeast(Issan), and similar in Lao culture.
It is performed based on the belief that an essential part of a person,called the khwan or soul should always stay within the body. Therefore, it is to strengthen the persons so that their khwan will remain united, to be strong to face any new situations. Mo Khwan or the minister is the person who leads the ceremony.The ceremony ends with the binding of the wrist of the persons who receive the Su Khwan with white trade meaning “wishing you good luck.”
