Muslim Perspective (Saudi, Iran, Pakistan, etc):
Muslim countries were given full access to the camps in Xinjiang. China allowed Arab diplomats to tour the place to make sure that the Uyghur people weren't being tortured. After touring the place, 37 countries (mostly Muslim) found out that there was nothing wrong with it. In fact, they even went as far to say that this is a great place where Muslim extremists were being retaught to be integrated back into society.
Western Perspective:
These Muslim countries have close economic ties to China so they are obviously going to defend China despite what is actually happening in the camps. Especially countries like Iran and Pakistan who are known to be close allies with China, it isn't surprising that they would be defending the camps.
The reality is that China was very fearful of a Salafist insurgency in Xinjiang being led by the TIP and took proactive steps to prevent terror attacks by banning certain Salafist preachers and even Saudi attire. Uyghurs are basically moderate Sufi Muslims, and the terror attacks started because their imams went to Saudi Arabia and then brought the salafi ideology cancer back to the mainland in the 90's.
Uyghur situation is over exaggerated now. The organisation that is raising awareness regarding the Uyghur issue is not exactly the greatest. They have ties to an Islamist terrorist group called the ETIM, that has committed terrorist attacks in China and abroad (namely Thailand). The ETIM have also been deployed in Syria against Assad, fighting along side the "moderate rebels." The ETIM maybe the reason why many Muslim countries have favoured the re-education camps (because they're dealing with Salafist insurgencies too).

The camps worked as the region hasn't experienced a single terrorist attack over 3 years. The people that got reformed, got out and found a job since they learnt important job skills in the camps.
Pic related are Uyghur celebrities that are huge in China right now, I don't think that would happen if they were being genocided.
