Vietnam & the Philippines are on the frontline. If China where to imitate the Japanese in WW2 (Assuming China launches nukes). China would have to take Guam, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia.

This lady Lei summed it up well. I learned something today about the development of the Vietnam war. What I still am not clear on was that Vietnamese, like she, believe that Nixon and Kissinger made a deal with China and abandoned S. Vietnam. I also heard the democratic controlled congress was responsible for withdrawing aid. After the Tet offensive of 1968, the US was capable of bombing N. Vietnam to kingdom come. They didn’t because of the aid withdrawl.
so, who was to blame? I believe the Secretary of State pretty much does the bidding of the president. Clearly the democratic congress was much too eager to assist. The left was responsible to drive the narrative and advance the anti war, pro commie movement.
