Thanh Hang (Vietnamese-American Model)

Thanh Hang (1960- ) is a Vietnamese-American model, actress and businesswoman. During the 1980s and 1990s, Thanh Hang was a popular model with one of the most recognizable faces within overseas Vietnamese communities worldwide.
Resettled in the United States from Vietnam since 1975, Thanh Hang graduated from high school in Orange County, California and earned her bachelor's degree in business at Cal State Fullerton. She began her modeling career in the 1980s working primarily with renowned photographer Thai Dac Nha. She appeared on the covers of countless Vietnamese magazines, books, calendars, and audio cassettes and compact discs manufactured by numerous overseas Vietnamese music production labels such as Asia Entertainment, Thuy Nga Paris, Nguoi Dep Binh Duong, Da Lan, Phuong Hoang, Tu Quynh and Huong Xua.

In 1990, Thanh Hang had hosted the first volume of Asia Productions' music video series and also appeared on the memorable music video of Trinh Nam Son's signature song, Di Vang. Unlike the live show format seen in today's Asia Productions' music video series, the first volume only consisted of five music video tracks. The first four were each solo performances from Kieu Nga, Thai Thao, Trinh Nam Son and Nhat Ha. The final music video track was of a duet performed by Nhu Mai and Thuy Vi. Thanh Hang's hosting duties were limited to only speaking at the beginning to greet viewer audiences and at the end with closing remarks. In 2005, she appeared on volume 47 of Asia Productions, Mua He Ruc Ro 2005, alongside international supermodel Navia Nguyen and Vietnamese beauty queen Jennifer Pham.
As an actress, Thanh Hang had starred in the overseas Vietnamese production remake of the classical Vietnamese film, Con Mua Ha (1992).
Since the late 1980s, Thanh Hang has enjoyed a successful career as a make-up artist. She currently is co-owner of Reflection Studio partnered with Thai Dac Nha, which is also known as Thai Dac Nha Photography.
