Taino Indians are actually related to the Arawak Indians in South America.

Geneticist researched 124 ancient population around 600 to 1,000 years before the arrival of the Europeans and discovered that the Amazonians populated the Caribbean Islands.

If Geneticist could research 20,000 Indigenous Indians across 7,000 plus Caribbean Islands instead of 124 only then we would probably get better results of where several of these indigenous Indians originated from. The Caribbean Islands were populated by several Indigenous groups within reach such as South America, Mesoamerica, Florida, Central America.
