Can this footballer pass as Mexican or other Latino? Guess origin

I actually would not know which country to choose from and therefore I'm guessing here since I'm not rather familiar with these people from this part of the continent.

Would you be flabbergast if I tell you that he is from Afghanistan? He is an ethnic Hazara though. A lot of them can overlap /pass easily as Latinos especially Mexicans and some South American Mestizos in my opinion.

I could see footballer being from Afghanistan however I do not see enough of them here in the states to identify what country they are from in South Asia since they could easily be mistaken as Latinos.

You also think that a lot of Afghans and South Asians can easily pass as Latinos in the US? What Latino group in particular? Mexican and South American?

Some could pass as Mexican Indios and Mestizos at first glance but once I get to know them or see them more often then I begin to see the difference between Latinos and South Asians.
