I actually did not have any country in mind. I was only just generalizing his location on the Eurasian continent. I did notice he was riding on a horse and he dresses up similar to those nomads. The mountain gave the impression that he could be close by the Altai Mountain range or the Ural Mountain range or another mountainous area.
