I am surprised that India have a strong influence on tagalogs.

Nope, Precolonial Philippines had several Indianized Kingdoms, like the Rajahnates of Cebu, Sanmalan, and Butuan, also; several rulers had direct Indian descent like Rajah Kiling or Sri Bantug.

The influence is stronger among Visayans. Bisaya has more Sanskrit loanwords than Tagalog.

and my mom is full ethnic Tagalog from Nueva Ecija and Bulacan and she scored 5.5% Punjabi on Tellmegen:
