We lag in terms of "Soft Power", how do we get that? Like with South Korea and the Korean Wave?

We can't because every achievement filipinos ever made is somehow connected to the western world.

Manny Pacquiao is popular because he topped Western boxing.

Charice pempengco became popular because she belted out songs from western singers.

Like all the biggest filipino stars are in the west.

Korean waves biggest draw in is that its an option outside of what we consider Western media.

Alot of kpops audience lol surprisingly are latina and black young women.

Yes I noticed it in beauty standards too, if a Filipina is beautiful people claim oh its' Spanish descent, but when it's a Korean who is beautiful it's because the Natives are already pretty, even though both would look the same.
