For 'recent' ancestry..23andme is the best I think. Also for detecting recent Iberian admixture in Pinoys 23andme is also the best. But honestly I actually found FTDNA's test to be the overall most balanced with the admixture percentages, and they will have an update soon this year too-- so we'll see what new results they will provide this year!
23andme now also provides the specific sub-regional breakdown...like 'Ilocos region/CentralLuzon/Visayas/etc', or 'Manchester/CentralLondon/etc' in Europeans
For newbies I would still go with 23andme as they provide raw data for you to upload onto many third-party sites like Gedmatch/WeGene/DNA.land/etc, and since you can also upload your data onto FTDNA for around 10 or 15 bucks or so..then 23andme is still the way to go.
As for Ancestry.com, I found it the worst for filipinos since the breakdown is too basic and just overall sucks.
23andme also has a nice forum-board community to participate in which is very active (I post on there but am currently banned LOL)
@elhartista
the only reason why I am taking it was that I have a Sephardi Jewish family name.
