@naval the wealth discrepancies are due to many factors. You only assume race as the only factor. Granted when it comes to the corporate world, skills/education count to a certain point, then the differential involve intangible factors such as office politics. That is the only area where I see why certain types of people don't get the same compensation as some others when all other factors are equal.

During ObAma birth flu endemic, I got called racial slurs by a black girl bc I was in a bad neighborhood. So far during this pandemic I haven’t been a victim as with my other Asian friends. Racism will always exists so yeah if you ask a million people, you will find examples. Be aware but don’t be afraid.

Chinese in general are very racist to Blacks or anyone with dark skin. The Asians in Black lives Matter were honest enough to admit that anti black racism exists in the Chinese community.

it’s long but explains very well the problem. I’ll summarize for you but still not as good as the article. Basically stealing intellectual properties allow China to set up manufacturing businesses in China, undercutting products manufactured at home. A large proportions of low skilled manufacturing jobs are held by minorities or new immigrants of color. Another more widespread problems is american companies will eithe pr go out of business due to cost, or relocate jobs overseas, costing lots of jobs that relate to the companies. Ie within the corporation, you need man low level workers including maintenance ie workers most of whom are minorities. The impact is far reaching.

@naval you are partially correct. Unequal treatment of business practices is one form of ‘systemic racism’ by your belief system. The the other part of the trade inequity and also a bigger part, intellectual theft and undercutting US businesses and causing closing down of jobs that were occupied by many minorities. The other part is when they partner with US firms, they demand them to turn over the technology. However this second scenario is due to corporate greed. What could be done to remedy is stopping intellectual theft. We have plenty of evidence of that and Chinese are notorious for that problem.

A small example was when a Chinese girl was looking at joy luck club cast on the internet she said the actress Lauren Tom was ugly because she was Vietnamese. That’s a very small but very common Chinese ugly behavior.

@athena do you understand how many people china concentrated to contain covid? nobody was thrown out on the streets, they were to go to isolation facility.
the worst that happened in xinjiang was some people had to go to boarding schools. this was to combat numerous cases of terrorism.
try to get a basic, reasonable understanding of why china does a thing, before you jump in parroting western media's accusations, which are motivated by suppressing China's success.

chinese nationals who return to china follow the quarantine policy. for a short period of time, before they had uniform enforcement at the entry-points, some Africans evaded these controls. that's why there was the panic in Canton and maybe unfriendly attitude towards Africans.
it's a short term thing during a crisis, nobody even talks about it except you it seems.

Wrong. Only 1 million Native American when the white settlers came to North America. Now there 5.2 million in the US alone. North America also includes Mexico and a Canada so the numbers are much higher.
There are 5.2 million American Indians and Alaska Natives making up approximately 2 percent of the U.S. population. There are 14 states with more than 100,000 American Indian or Alaska Native residents.
