I'm no chinese scholar. I don't think we need a cold war with China but we really should crack down on intellectual property theft. What the chinese are good at is copying and they can do it for 1/10 of the price because there's no govt regulations. What we should also do is pare down regulations on our own corporations to level the playing field. I believe in consumer protection but in some cases we go overboard.
@athena we are already in a cold war. US & China can go to war as early as 2025. stopping Russia in Ukraine isn't just to protect nato but to destroy the BRIC trade network. If Russia collapsed, then China's belt & Road initiative is pretty much dead.
@athena Wolf warrior diplomacy is the only language the Chinese will understand. Chinese are more aggressive than white people when it comes to getting things they want like natural resources. The intellectual property theft will never stop unless Whites push back.

By the hundreds, they’ve been taking to the streets all over the state, pleading with elected officials to kill a piece of legislation they fear could threaten their futures.
A bill introduced in the Texas Senate in late December has been gaining steam over the past month, and it came as a bombshell to Asian Americans and others across the state. The legislation, SB 147, would make it illegal for Chinese citizens to buy any property in Texas, including homes.
Joe Biden signs a law prohibiting US nationals from working with the Chinese in the CHIP industry. The penalty is removing US citizenship for anyone working with the Chinese. That means you can't transfer sell equipment or key component for the machines needed to make the low-end Chips.
