 when people talk about prison. people talk about getting beat up, extorted or raped.

 did you see any fights there?  how did the population treat you?  is there like a racial segregation in prison? 

Honestly I would expect the other prisoners to pick on you for being the only Asian dude

yea lol there's was actually this one serious yet funny fight that broke out over a Chess game between two of the inmates I was housed with haha... it ended in a fist fight/ grudge fight between this one Puerto Rican man and this one Black dude; The Puerto Rican whooped him in Chess and the Black dude didn't want to admit that he's an inferior player LMAO

And yes the Asian population was quite small in number but I actually wasn't the only Asian dude in there; there was also this one old elderly Filipino man(I think in his 60's) and a much younger Filipino dude in his late 20's, then some Korean and Chinese looking dudes mixed into the population. Well it's understandable anyway since aren't Asians a minority in America population-wise compared with Hispanics and Blacks etc?

But as far as racial segregation.... all inmates no matter what race they were are housed into one single pod area/#..so it's kinda hard to avoid other groups/races in general....but as far as I'm considered there wasn't really all that much if any kinds of serious racism I witnessed while I was there. I talked with everyone there very casually in fact; you'd be surprised to discover how nice many of the inmates in there actually were haha.

I've never been to the pen(penitentiary) yet though....so maybe you may find more segregation over there perhaps. It's funny since my overall demeanor IRL is actually very different from the common criminal IMHO lol....In fact the Puerto Rican guy I chatted with a lot in there didn't think I was the type of guy to commit a crime even though that's what really happened to me LOLz; most of my convictions were just misdemeanors and nothing really all that hardcore like serious felonies which are punishable by over 1 year+ in the pen.

I've got a 6 misdemeanors criminal record back in the Midwestern US, spent 1 year in American county jail, and 6 months in an insane asylum in Southern Illinois due to my diagnosed mental illness(Schizoaffective/Bipolar disorder), used to destroy televisions with metal poles out of anger during my early 20s, have a history of sexual misconduct..violence..plus a few other criminalities, then got deported from the US(where i grew up since i was 3) back to the Philippines in 2010 where I'm currently at after finding out for the first time that I grew up as an illegal alien.

How bout you, what crimes have you committed....any misdemeanors or felonies for example? Any histories of mental illness or any other disorders on your side?

Holy gangsta!  I have never been in trouble.  the most hardcore thing that happened to us over here is that you'll see white & native indians Suburban teenage kids claiming Blood Gang.
