There is no comparison 🙄. Systemic racism means a killer can walk away from the court because of racial bias. Racism means I have the power to do harm to you economically.

Actually, this is not too far from the truth. even though this was a comedy skit. Most Chinese do see Filipinos as blacks like ''literally''

As for the maids, the Philippines should have a collective duty to bring them home and bring a dignified career for the low-skill workers. it might take a decade but it's doable.

It's their land & rules. don't complain and handle your business.

Filipinos in Hong Kong

Filipinos constitute the largest ethnic minority in Hong Kong, numbering approximately 130,000, many of whom work as foreign domestic helpers. The Eastern District has the highest concentration of Filipino residents in Hong Kong, with 3.24% of the district's population being of Filipino descent.

Fact: Chinese will never hire dark skin people.

the videos on your videos are all Asiatic-looking Filipinos. East Asians in general will never hire melanated Filipinos like these.

During the hiring process, East Asians will pick only the most Asiatic-looking Filipinos while denying the melanated people an economic opportunity.

Confucius society have a  hierarchy system and Hindus have a color caste system. They might hire Filipinos but they see Filipinos beneath them.

East Asian culture has no concept of individual worth. Identity comes from the collective worth of the race & as a nation.

130,000 isn't a lot. Someone in the Philippines needs to expand the real estate business and hire the Filipinos in Hong Kong as hotel workers in Luzon.

Also, there is something seriously wrong if the majority of the Filipino men are too Lax watching their women ( mother/wives/aunty, etc) move abroad just to feed the family.

Racism comes to place when the Chinese see the Filipinos showing little to no effort to correct the problem.

A 10-year stay for Filipinos in hong kong is welcome, beyond that with little progress, that's when Chinese will think that Southeast Asians are too stupid or too lazy.

Racism requires both prejudice and power. You may face prejudice. That’s not racism, because your race is in power.

Definition of racism

1: a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race Latino elite used racism to justify the displacement and enslavement of the indigenous population, and these beliefs, along with the resentment created by the continued exploitation of indigenous land and labor, culminated in the Guatemalan Civil War (1960-1996).— Mariana Calvo

There are about 100,000 Filipino English teachers in mainland China.

100,000 can be easily moved back home with a remote English teaching industry.

This is why I won't really feel bad for Hong Kong once mainland fully takes over them.

Philippines should just stop exporting too many maids, it is damaging to the soft power and image of the country.

Well, if they have to be ruled by someone, their preference, however unrealistic, is clear. Ironically, that’s a common Chinese trait – to place peoples within a “barbarian hierarchy”, say, South Asians, Filipinos and Indonesians in Hong Kong.
