I love how empathetic the Filipinos are.
I love how empathetic the Filipinos are.
My understanding is that filipinos tend to be very internationalistic. They love absorbing into different cultures other than their own and can be found around all corners of the globe as well.
They love Nike and brand names, Levi's, and foreigners etc, haha
It's only the Filipinos because they have the same basic christian morals just like we do. Sadly most Asians look down on them for having empathy for other human beings.
Is it hard for English speakers to learn Tagalog?
I would imagine it will be very challenging for an original speaker of English to try to learn it. Tagalog's laws of grammar seem to also be different, and the overall 'essence' seems to be nowhere near close to that of English lol, but IMO it can accomplish most of the things that English can do with regards to everyday conversation and such.
It's like me trying to learn German or Swedish I guess haha
One easy part of Tagalog though IMO is that the vowels are pronounced exactly the same way Spanish vowels are pronounced.... ahh/ehh/eee/O/ and ooo, so that part will be very easy.

@elhartista
I'm new to tagalog, Some of the Filipino words sounds Italian to me for example
presidente, responsabile, governatore, mondo, importante
@elhartista
I don't speak Spanish but it sounds Latin mixed with something else.
How many Filipinos speak this dialect?
It's only spoken in Zamboanga City and a few other places I believe. Most of the filipino dialects seems to be very Asian in system apart from Chavacano which is an actual Spanish creole.. I heard someone from TA said that it sounds kinda like Brazilian Portuguese LOL.
Personally I really want to study spanish and german foreign languages, and also japanese...lol but japanese seems too difficult to be honest.
...but well anyways, Tagalog does have a lot of Spanish vocabulary loaned into but, but sadly the grammar is mostly Asian/Austronesian it appears which the exception of a few grammar loaned words like "pero" and "para".
