@zexsypmp23 not even northern people. Most Vietnamese only go overseas if there is political or economic problems. I can see from past responses here philipinos don’t understand our culture. They cannot understand that while they accept as a matter of course Spanish culture is their culture and yet criticize Vietnam cultural tie to china. The philipines is not unique in its ejection of colonial power. Vietnam has pushed out many. However the cultural influence is there be it Spanish for philipines or chines for VN. However, we are not Chinese just as you are not Spanish. The languages are different. Ethnically different. Let say if there’s a war, Vietnam will form alliance with whoever share a common goal be it the philipines, the US, etc…it’s different than let say the relationship between Taiwan and China. While tw hate chine they are still Chinese and likely will side with China over philipines for example.

Vietnamese and Chinese are always fighting but I can't deny there are HOA Chinese in Vietnamese or Chinese wannabes within the Vietnamese Community.

@zexsypmp23 there are always wannabe’s but at the end of the day, they still don’t chose China. Unless if they are Hoa or commies. I think in the 50’s there were a number of Hoa who repatriated to HK. A good example is actor ray Lui
