More Filipinos in the media compared to before but far fewer than other groups. I probably went through a month without seeing a Filipino person on tv. On the other hand, I see a Latino or African descent every hour on tv.

Manny Pacquiao only fights once a year, because boxers on average have only 1 to 2 fights per year.  There are actually some more Filipino boxers but they  fight 1 to 2 fights per year also. Jacob Batalon, the friend of Spider-Man is only seen in movies and I also see his character on average once a year also.

Bruno Mars and Dave Bautista appear more like their other half usually compared to their Filipino side. Only Filipina Mestiza who had a regular showing was Nicole Scherzinger and she was seen on tv as a judge, performer, and host regularly but she appears more like a Polynesian/Micronesian to me.

There are now some Filipinos as newscasters and there are probably some more Filipinos in other tv programs and shows but I have not seen it yet.

Benny Agbayani, I remember him awhile back ago, the Mets made it to the World Series Final. His face and physique appears somewhere between a Filipino and a Samoan.

Some have claimed us as Amerindian because we have some similar features and manner.
