The diaspora pollution of Japanese for all around the world is only around 3 million. That is tiny! the population of L.A. city alone is 4 million. there are 7 billion people in the world! I'm thinking this means there are a lot of people who have never meet a Japanese person just liken most of us have never meet an Eskimo.

This makes me wonder, have any of you actually meet a full Japanese person before?

If so, How and where did you meet them? What were they doing?

We have a Japanese OB at my hospital so I see them quite frequently.  They are the most pleasant patients to have.  I was in nursing school with a Japanese girl, she was so sweet.  I saw many Japanese people when I was in Japan.

I have gotten along with every single japanese i met after ''5 mins'' of contact so far, even if they don't speak english & comes from completely alien culture to us. chinese on the other hand are complete opposites in negative way.

Most of Filipinos would be very surprise by the japanese politeness, most of us Don't know how to react when we see japanese starts bowing.

I met a few japanese in new jersey that is very close to filipino inner social circle... Some of the japanese can even speak a few filipino sentences.

in the business world .Japanese businessmen all have business cards and they stay loyal to their company.

while Filipinos jump to different jobs every 3 years , and Filipinos are very expressive & emotional.

Japanese & filipino are very different but after a few exposure, learning & observations. I think we filipinos can easily adapt to japanese customs. We need to have polite culture as well.

So just have to give props where its due & respect that deserves it.
