The main purpose of the Miss Universe pageant is to allow young women to find new strengths in a world where the empowerment of women from different cultures was not encouraged in the past.

If you were smarter, you have noticed that most beauty pageants are dominiated by Whites, Latinas & light skin South East Asians.
Women of color such as Blacks, Dark skin Indians, Dark Latinas are just used as props to these events. Oh if you have not noticed, most East Asian contestants have less East Asian appearance.

well it's another western cultural event, they have the ability to organize it nothing I can say.
would you object to terms like "miss world", "miss universe"? maybe, but most people don't object.

Black miss universe representing Italy in 1997, black beauty is pushed into the mainstream for normalizing acceptance within the society.

Depends on the woman but watching beauty contest also rewards inner beauty which help boost a womans self worth in a male dominated society.
