This is a very important information that our government aren't telling us.
Maybe the CDC are just trying to cover their own asses
multiple organs failure and cytokines storm. Besides pneumonia, sepsis, organs failure, myocarditis, CHF, are all common complications with covid-19. These patients are treated like ARDS, prone, ventilated, with pressors to keep their blood pressure up and parlytics to paralyze their muscles so they can be vented.
Omg, These CDC people are so clueless. If they can't get their facts straight and If they can't show their abilities to lead the fight against this disease. Then our future is pretty much screwed.
If the government cannot can't protect the health workers, just imagine how the government will fail if this disease gets out of control.
If we lose society's medical team, Then who's going to fight the disease? The old guys in office?

I think they are hoping that we won't die off. It's been only a month or so into the pandemic in the U.S.A and there is already a 38 years old nurse that died from using garbage bags as his gown in NYC, a mammogram technician that died at home (they found her 4 years old next to her body alive), a few other nurses in the ICU that did not even make it to the news, a few doctors are in ICU in NYC, I think a few also died. 9% of Italy's Covid-19 deaths are from their healthcare workers. I honestly feel like I am a sitting duck, that I can be killed at any time. Not only do I fear for myself, I fear for my co-workers, my friends. I haven't seen my family for weeks now and I miss them dearly. That is why when we have people like Neil who downplay it and compare it to obesity it makes me livid.

When the CDC said 20% may be severely ill, they failed to described those complications. The scary thing about this virus is, you do not know if you will be the 80% of mild symptoms, or the 20% of severe symptoms. Once you are on a ventilator your survival chance is less than 20%.
I'm so sorry to hear that.
This news must have hit you very hard & everyone around your hospital staff. Please be careful in your fight against this disease.
You guys are society's first line of defense.
