Paquime (Casas Grandes) located in Chihuahua Mexico is an ancient site that began constructing in 1130 AD by the Mogollon Culture which is a member of the Oasisamerica - the others being the Ancestral Pueblo and Hohokam Culture. The other common term is Anasazi Culture. Several people have heard of Mesa Verde, Aztec Ruin, Chaco Canyon and Canyon de Chelly but only a few has ever heard of Paquime also known as Casas Grande. Scholars believe that Paquime is the largest and most complex site ever constructed in the Southwest as mentioned in the article.
