Mysterious Tiwanaku-style Megaliths of Ancient Mexico | ¿Antiguos Contactos entre México y Peru?

San Miguel Ixtapan is a small archaeological sites in the mountains of central Mexico, where dozens of mysterious carved megalithic stone slabs have been found over the years. The style of the slabs is unlike anything known from ancient Mexico, but bears remarkable similarities with the ancient stonework of Peru and Bolivia. The precision geometric carvings on the slabs suggest the use of sophisticated metal tools unknown in ancient Mexico. A giant stone model of what looks like an ancient city with massive stone pyramids and temples was also discovered at the site. Many believe it represents a lost city still awaiting discovery in the mountains around San Miguel Ixtapan. Does a Tiwanaku-style site with huge megalithic architecture like Puma Punku lie buried in this remote part of Mexico?
