It's not like the site hasn't either had time to grow. I'm guessing maybe cause the admin of that site was able to personally get a few dedicated larger amount of dedicated posters. Also, their design is a bit better (no offense to this site's admins).
But I think that we can overtake them when we start fresh on that new website. A suggestion I have in mind is to allow guest posters so that some people can post on the forum without being registered. This will help drive up the traffic and encourage more people to register later on. Then when we feel that either the activity is good enough to not require guest members or the guest feature is being abused, then it can be removed.
