I was pampered most of my life but when I trained to be a missionary some scary moments included times when I had to sleep with people who killed others, I was once imprisoned against my will in a room until I got rescued, I fell afoul with some powerful people, at the beach we were in a midst of a fight where people brought guns and knives, a grenade was thrown on our house by our political enemies. I was protected by my status as a man of God back then in those scenarios and we were just lucky that the grenade didn't blow up.
