Its not a stigma im Vietnam. My mom decided to get the same tattoo as me a few years ago. 😆
My grandma was pretty upset for a bit.

I.don't want a public tattoo myself since that's just vainglorious but I want to.continue my ancestors' tattooing cculture and hopefully I'll earn a secret tattoo marking my valour, sacrifice and intimacy. But only for a choa n one's eyes only. But until.then my body is immaculately clean of tattoos and Virginia however I find tattoos beautiful.

Peacock feathers on our ankle. My mom also has 2 koi fishes on her back. I got it for her on her bday a few years ago. She didn't get any tattoo until her 50's lol. When she initially found out about my peacock bird on my back she was upset.🤣
Why would your mom get angry, when she has a tattoo herself?
it is taboo for us to get tattoo it usually makes you look like a criminal in the eyes of everyone.
Maybe a small tattoos okay but not massive
The Vietnamese along with the Cambodians seems to imitate black gang culture.
