I spoke to the other Mexicans and they told me it's around a 30% estimate for those that can pass as her.
@zexsy
30% might be too high, my estimate is around 9% for full Amerindians.
She probably belongs to a certain ethnic group in Mexico that have those type of features. People usually recognize the Mexicans having only Aztec and Mayan ancestry but it's more complex and varied than what people are accustom to knowing. There are several indigenous tribes that were incorporated into the Aztec and Mayan civilization before they were called Aztecs and Mayans. There were also several main groups in Mexico such as Olmecs of which some of their people having those facial features. Possibly Toltecs, Zapotecs, Mixtec and plus more Mesoamerican groups.
We need more Mexicans like her to come out of the shadows.
an average Mexican doesn't have a common knowledge like her about Asia and Amerindians.
She's a vlogger and I notice people that do this regularly are some times more knowledgeable than the average.
That is not true, Mexicans are very knowledgeable of the native history.
There are more ethnicities in LATAM that have a higher Amerindian DNA than the Mexicans. maybe you Flips should start looking for them.
YouTube videos aren't going to help us find these people, we need to know where they hang out.
In the Philippines, she can pass but she can barely pass in Vietnam.
@j-r-c
I guess most Viets that migrate West are the more Sinid/Chinese-looking ones?
Anyway I was surprised to see some swarthier/browner, very SE Asian looking locals when I was in Vietnam.
Not gonna lie but when I went to Hanoi with my friends, we even had this taxi driver who is very dark skin and looks like a Cambodian or Indonesian who picked us up from the airport to downtown Hanoi. Maybe he is an ethnic minority from the South.
Vietnamese are southeast Asians mixed with southern Chinese. They came to Canada as boat people in the 80's. I know a lot about them because I dated one.
@qamzardaan most Vietnamese that moved to America are from the south. Some of them are northerner that migrated south when the commies took over north Vietnam in 1954. She could pass for Vietnamese. Lots of SEA looking Vietnamese even from the north. Look at this older singer from the north
Young Ho Chi Minh from central Vietnam:
This girl can easily pass in the philipines
She was born and raised in Tula de Allende which is nearby Ciudad de Mexico. Has she encountered other people in her city that have those facial features? Btw, pure Native Indian features varies and they could also appear non-Asian. DNA test will tell us if she has any recent ancestry from Asia.
Yep. There are many pure Native Americans who look uniquely Native completely different from Asians including Pinoys, while others who look non-Asian and have Caucasoid-like features with hook nose, narrow horsey face, prominent jaws and more robust body type.
Tbh, she looks very Asian even when compared to a lot of pure Natives. I also won't be surprise if she have recent Asian ancestors from the Galleon trade.
Native Americans do not appear similar to modern day Siberians for the most part. Their facial features and body structure is so different from Asians that some times it's hard to believe that we are related to one another.
She does look Asian and she sounds Filipina to me but I do see some Mexican features. Who really knows, she may have Asian ancestry from Galleon Trade however she did take a DNA test and the video mentions her DNA result at the 7th minute.

So the facial features and body structures of a lot of (maybe even most)Natives are also very different from Filos/Filipinos as well?
She also looks very Asian to me. I have a hard time believe she was Native tbh at first. She seems to do a MyHeritage test which isn't that accurate if you want to figure out the Euro and Native percentages. She should have done AncestryDNA or 23andme instead.
The facial features and body structures of the Native Americans are different compared to Filipinos. Btw, the Filipinos in Guerrero and Colima, Mexico are noticeably different compared to the local Native Indian population. Only non-Filipinos and non-Native Indians mistaken Filipinos as Native Indians some times because they see both groups having Native features.
If she has European admixture then it's probably negligible.
I agreed its mostly non-Pinoys and non-Natives who mistake both groups as one another sometimes also due to similar skin color and straight black hair I believe.
Can you post examples of Amerindians that would never pass/be mistaken as Filipinos?
These seems to be Natives from the USA and Canada. What about them makes them never pass as Filo? More Caucasoid-like sharper and refiner features and more robust jaw and body type?
Can you post examples of indigenous Mexican and South American Amerindians that could never pass/be mistaken as Pinoys?
Several Natives in the USA or Canada have those Caucasoid features which pure Filipinos do not have or have less in comparison. Those Native Indian pics from my previous reply could have easily passed up as Mexican Natives also.
Mexicans
South Americans
That make sense. I agree the Natives from USA and Canada often have those Caucasoid sharper and refined features that tend not to exist in pure Pinos.
These Mexican and South American Natives that you posted also would never pass as Pinoys it seems.
Would these Amerindians from South America and Mexico also never pass/be mistaken as Filos?
1. Former president of Bolivia
2. Mexican actor (he is predominantly indigenous according to what Latino users in another forum told me)
3. Indigenous Mayan artist from Lacandon jungle, Yucatan, Mexico.
4. Navajo Politician from Arizona
I would never mistaken Native Indians posted above as pure Filipinos. They could only pass if they are Mestizos.
If pics were not mentioned as the Native Indians also, I wouldn't guess them as being a pure Filipino either.
These Natives that I posted also won't be mistaken as locals in the Philippines by other Pinoys right?
If pics were not mentioned as the Native Indians also, I wouldn't guess them as being a pure Filipino either.
Sorry, I am bit confused. Can you elaborate more on what you mean?
What would you guess them as then?
I really do not know if the Natives that you posted would not be mistaken as locals in Philippines by other Filipinos. I'm sure some would consider them from somewhere else while others would mistaken them as Filipinos. Btw, several Filipinos have never seen and heard of Native Indians before.
Since previous pics were mentioned as Amerindians, therefore people would recognize them as Amerindians. But if you didn't mentioned them as Amerindians then I would have to guess their ethnicity. My first guess would be Amerindians.
These Mexican and South American Amerindians you posted also won't pass/be mistaken as locals in the Philippines by other Filipinos right?
More like south east asian
