He does have some Filipino features but he looks mixed to me.
In Brazil and in other countries, Mestico refers to people with European ancestry in particular Portuguese ancestry mixed in with ancestry of either Indigenous Native American Indian or Indian (India) or African.
Can he pass in the Philippines? Or as only a Filipino Mestizo? Can some full blooded Pinoys look like him?
Actually I know that term. Its also used in other Lusophone countries like Cape Verde, Angola, Mozambique, Guinea Bissau, etc. I used it instead because I find the Mestizo term boring.
Do you think its weird how he looks like a full one despite being less than 50% Mongoloid genetically?
Are your Filipino friends 100% Pinoy genetically or do they have some European admix? Also what country do you think OP is from?
My friends who look more mestizo than him haven't had tests but from their understanding they're full filipino, tagalog.
I don't think its weird really, Filipinos are Austronesians, & Austronesians tend to have bigger eyes & a profile (unlike Koreans for example with flat faces). And there's a variety in filipino looks, you can be very white or go to medium brown (dark brown if burned by the sun) and all still be full filipino. What usually makes Filipino look different from others is, we have a spectrum so it's not this one consistent thing only. Most Filipinos are different grades of pango, from bulbous to just low nose bridge, but we do have people who aren't admixed that have high nose bridges, they're not as common as the pango though. So a variety of people can fit within the Filipino spectrum, other SE Asians, Hispanics/Polynesians, Chinese or Japanese. Korean look isn't common though.
As for the guy passing as full when he's only half, not really, mongoloid usually has a stronger imprint the caucasoid look. The only ethnic group that can trump that would either be negroid or australoid, as they've had a longer time to develop & keep those same features.
No idea about the OP, don't even know him.
